This position could be located in El Paso, TX (preferable) or Auburn Hills, MI (will consider).

The mission of the Magneti Marelli (MM) North America (NA) Supply Chain/Logistics team is to drive efficiency in the supply chain from the source of materials (suppliers) – through our 12 manufacturing plants’ production efforts – to our OEM customers.  Supply Chain sub-functions include:  transportation, production planning/control, materials requirements planning, inventory management, warehousing & line-feeding, shipping/receiving, and customer service.  Supply chain functions are managed within SAP –  Magneti Marelli’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.  Attributes and competencies necessary for success in the NA Supply Chain/Logistics team are:  a positive, proactive and collaborative attitude;  competency in cross-functional coordination and planning; a “line-out” mentality focused on enabling plant success; customer focus; and an absolute thirst for excellence!

The Regional Product Launch Coordinator (Supply Chain Program Manager) is responsible for regional supply chain/logistics advanced planning and successful launch of new company products, from concept to mass production.  The PLC/SCPM will address new product launches across  MM’s multiple North America business lines including automotive lighting, electronics, powertrain, shocks/suspensions and exhausts.  The PLC/SCPM will prioritize advanced planning/launch tasks ensuring cross-functional, customer and supplier synergy.  Key to success is ensuring planning activities/deliverables are on-time and to a standard of excellence enabled by MM’s Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) lifecycle management framework.  The PLC/SCPM must be a skilled cross-functional collaborator and leader able to achieve time-based results in a fast-paced matrix environment.  The PLC/SCPM will ensure each product meets or exceeds program commitments delivered on time, within specifications, with expected yields, achieving target costs;  while providing timely status updates to management.  The  PLC/SCPM will work closely with regional and plant program managers, engineers, purchasing advanced planners/commodity managers, controllers, and logistics teams to collaborate and execute program plans in a synergistic manner. The ideal candidate will have strong Program Management and Supply Chain/Logistics acumen. Specific planning tasks, activities and deliverables fall into the areas of:

  • Supply Chain Design (including international, regional and local material flows)
  • Logistics infrastructure (logistics engineering) and capital equipment
  • Production planning/control
  • Materials planning
  • Customer service (delivery performance)
  • SAP/ERP synchronization (internally and with customers and suppliers)
  • Packaging (supplier and customer)


EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university with a major in engineering,  program management, supply chain management, business


  • 7+ years in operational logistics (transportation, warehousing, production planning, materials planning)
  • 3+ years in Product Lifecycle Program Management;
  • International/multi-cultural working experience.


  • Knowledge in Lean Production Systems (i.e., VSM, Lean & Six Sigma, WCM)
  • Program Management (certification a plus)
