Please note:  This is NOT a health and safety position.  This position is about the engineering safety requirements for ECU's.

We are looking for a Functional Safety Manager inside the R&D Function for the BL AL who will be assigned the overall responsibilities of ISO 26262 application on LBE products on both Lighting Electronics and Body Electronics. He will be located in Auburn Hills, Michigan, reporting to the Body Electronics R&D Manager and functionally to the LBE R&D Director. The candidate will be responsible for the following activities: -manage the existing resources in AL (Reutlingen) already dedicated to Lighting electronics. -define a Safety Roadmap for the LBE product with specific focus on Body Control Modules and Gateways, Lighting electronics for headlamps and rear lamps -provide to development Team the guideline for a safety design according to the ISO 26262, the BLE Roadmap and to any Customer requirement -provide Development Team adequate training on safety related issues and analyses (DFMEA, FTA) -check status of action ongoing, participate to Design Review, confirm product compliance to the Safety level required -support MM FSM on the MM Safety Roadmap, participate to Steering Commitee, participate to other BL audit and product reviews -provide Customers support in defining, recommending the risk classification (ASIL) associated to AL product and Systems - Engineering / IT  bachelor degree or equivalent - English: required good level in both writing and conversation  - Deutsch: can be a plus The candidate have more than 5 years of experience in Research and Development : - Proven experience in Safety and application of ISO 26262: safety case demonstrated from ASIL A to D - Capability in providing training - Communication capabilities - Interaction with multicultural teams - Managing with Customer and Program Management - Already active in Managerial role  - ISO 26262 - DFMEA / FTA - FCA specification (9.9011) - Automotive communication standards - Automotive standard diagnostic protocols - AUTOSAR BSW // Application architectures - Sw methodologies like ASPICE can be a plus
